Artist Bio:

Jamie Humphries is a UK guitarist, now based in Stockholm, Sweden. As well as being a highly respected guitar tutor and author, his touring credits include Brian May, Kerry Ellis, The Australian Pink Floyd Show, and the Scandinavian Queen show “Champions of Rock”, the 80’s Arena Rock tour “Rock of 80’s”, with Kee Marcello of Europe and Joacim Cans of Hammerfall. He has also toured with the American classic rock show “Flashback; The Mystic Orchestra”. Jamie was also part of the band for "Gutterdämmerung" a show featuring a movie with a live rock band performing the soundtrack. Guest artists included rock giants such as Slash, Lemmy, Joshua Homme, Iggy Pop, Grace Jones, Tom Araya, Eagles of Death Metal, Volbeat and Henry Rollins. Jamie has also toured Spain with the Symphonic Queen show and the History of Rock Show. He has performed with Queen at Freddie Mercury’s 65th Birthday concert, Jeff Beck, Mike Rutherfordof Genesis, Ronan Keating, Richie Kotzen, Vinnie Moore and Chad Smith. Jamie has also toured extensively on the official Queen production “We Will Rock You” in both the UK and Europe, holding the position of principle guitarist on guitar chair one in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Denmark. Jamie is one of the original Lick Library/Total Accuracy guitarists, working for the company for more than 20 years, and appearing on their first ever DVD release. Jamie has filmed and recorded a large catalogue of DVDs and backing tracks for the award winning guitar instructional company Lick Library, filming DVDs on such artists as Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Def Leppard, Metallica, and many others. He also contributed video lessons for Guitar Interactive, and has a regular technique column in Premier Guitar. He has also written and transcribed for Guitar Techniques, Guitarist, Total Guitar, and Guitar World. As a studio musician his guitar playing can be heard on the BBC, ITV, Virgin Radio, Sky TV, and the Hollywood movie The Goods; Live Hard, Sell Hard. He has also mixed albums for artists such as It Bites and David Kilminster of the Roger Waters Band. He also has several books/CD’s courses released by Sanctuary including “Giants of Metal”, Giants of Rock”, Crash Course Electric Guitar”. As an artist he released his “J” album in 2008, featuring Richie Kotzen, and is currently working on a follow up. Hes endorsed by Musicman guitars, Ernie Ball strings, Mesa/Boogie amps, Two Notes Audio, and Dimarzio.
